Weeks ago I visited the first waterfall at Spanny Falls and promised to return in order to photograph the second waterfall. These are a few images from my return trip.

Where is Spanny Falls?
Spanny’s Bar is located along the Nicholas Liverpool Highway and is a popular rest stop for travelers. The waterfalls are located behind the bar, approximately 20 minutes hike in.
It costs a mere EC $5 to access the trail to the waterfalls. We inquired about the second waterfall and Spanny advised that it was not safe to venture there.
The waterfall is usually accessed by climbing up the cliff (using a rope) near the base of the first waterfall. But Spanny explained the heavy rains had made journey treacherous.
Based on that advice, we opted to walk to the first waterfall, leave the second waterfall alone (for now) and I captured a few images.
We didn’t spend much time at the waterfall. On the way back we sampled Spanny’s spice rum and then drove down to the Bayfront where we enjoyed the sunset and I captured these two images.
I was disappointed to find out that the second waterfall at Spanny’s wasn’t accessible. But I plan on keeping in touch with Spanny so that I’ll be one of the first to make the climb when the time is right.
